Robert Morris Helps Veterans

rmu-logo
Many colleges and universities recognize the experience and dedication that both active military members and veterans bring to the college classroom, whether that classroom is on campus or online.

Robert Morris University, an accredited university near Pittsburgh, PA, with more than 5,000 enrolled students. has long had a well-deserved reputation as a top-rate business school for both undergraduate and graduate students. As RMU started to offer more courses and degrees, it also began to work more with military members and wanted to ensure that our men and women in the armed forces had the chance to attend a private university to reach their educational goals. Today, RMU offers tailored programs and direct financial aid to past and present military members.

Benefits to Active Personnel and Veterans

  • RMU’s benefits include a choice between online or on-campus courses, or a combination of both, called a hybrid program. Many servicemen and women welcome the ability to learn on-campus with their civilian counterparts, and prefer to earn their degree at one of Robert Morris’ convenient on- or off-site locations.
  •  For those personnel who want the flexibility and convenience of taking classes and earning credits at their own pace, at any hour of the day or night, online classes are often the best choice.
  •  RMU even offers classes at the nearby 171st Air Refueling Wing in Moon Township, providing a convenient option for those on site who would like to fit classwork into their demanding schedule.
  • If you’ve already earned your bachelor’s degree, you can use the benefits you receive from the government to take classes toward your master’s degree or another professional degree at RMU.

Financial Incentives and Awards for Our Military Members

Robert Morris University believes in the value of our military members and veterans earning an undergraduate degree from one of the best business, communications, and health sciences universities in the state.

The school provides one of the most generous military-support packages in the country.

Students can complete their RMU degree through the Yellow Ribbon Program for veterans who have been awarded full benefits from the Post 9/11 G.I. Bill. For service members who have less than 100 % post-9/11 benefits, RMU provides a Military Service Award. This award makes up the difference between a public, state-run university tuition and Robert Morris University’s private-school costs.

Campus Enhancements for All Military Members

While on campus, military members enjoy the services of a Vets Center that’s open 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

All veterans and active duty members also have Daniel Rota at their service. He’s a retired Brigadier General who serves as the Director of Veterans Education and Training Services at Robert Morris. He’s a long-time RMU faculty member in the Computer Information Systems department who is dedicated to helping military service members complete their undergraduate degrees.

Veterans and active service members who would like to further their education should consider Robert Morris’s online and on-campus programs. RMU recognizes your experience and the selfless work that you perform for the safety and security of our country.
